Dimension Films has upped Matthew Signer to a newly created post as VP of production and creative affairs.
Signer, who started his career at Dimension in 2004, will work closely with scribes and filmmakers to develop projects for the company and collaborate with the marketing department to release Dimension’s slate. He will report directly to Dimension co-chairmen Bob and Harvey Weinstein.
Matthew Signer’s role has “gradually expanded, making him a key player in several areas of the company,” said Bob Weinstein. “I have tremendous respect for Matthew Signer and his abilities, his taste and his work ethic, and we are happy to recognize his hard work with this promotion.”
Dimension’s development slate includes remakes of “Short Circuit,” “Hellraiser,” “Children of the Corn” and “Scanners.”
